Longtime board leader William A. Heeres, PharmD, has been appointed chairman emeritus of the USC School of Pharmacy Board of Councilors.

With David W. Neu heading the Board of Councilors since November, Heeres continues to serve on the board while taking on an advisory position with the newly formed USC Titus Center for Medication Safety and Population Health.

Heeres and his wife Josephine have been ardent supporters of the school for decades.
