A pair of unique courses from the Keck School of Medicine of USC have received positive reviews for their hybrid approach and the resulting increase in educational access and success.
The courses, developed through the school’s Primary Care Initiative, reach two distinct audiences. The first is an addiction medicine course provided by the Keck School for third- and fourth-year medical students. For community members served by the Wellness Center at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, there is bilingual education in healthy cooking and exercise.
The studies were respectively published in the Journal of Addictive Diseases and the Health Education Journal.
