The University of California’s Clinical Exercise Research Center is offering a new course to dispel the myth that kinesiology is a major for future coaches and physical education teachers only. Kinesiology: Moving Minds and Bodies through Sports, Medicine and Health, is a four-week course that uses a wide variety of demonstrations and field trips to show how the field can lead to careers as physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists and more. One outing demonstrated how the field can even lead to long-term careers training stunt people and actors working in big-budget action movies.
