Keck Medicine of USC is delighted to announce that USC Verdugo Hills Hospital has welcomed their first baby of the New Year.
Elizabeth (Ellie) June Paszkiewicz was born on Jan. 1, 2020 at 8:18 p.m. to proud parents David and Kristina Paszkiewicz. Baby Ellie weighed 8 lbs. and 15 oz. She has been welcomed home by her brother Malcolm (7) and sister Parker (5). The family is from Altadena, and both David and Elizabeth work for La Canada Unified School District.
To celebrate the joyous occasion, the hospital provided the family with a welcome basket courtesy of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, containing donations from Dream Dinners Pasadena; The YMCA of the Foothills; Bellies, Babies, and Bosoms; Merle Norman Cosmetics; J’s Maids; Once Upon A Time Bookstore; Sue’s Hallmark; The VFW/American Legion Posts; and the CV Weekly.
Prior to Elizabeth’s arrival, the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation hosted a contest on their Facebook page, inviting followers to guess the weight and time of birth of the hospital’s first baby of the New Year. Congratulations to La Canada Flintridge residents John Kruse for guessing the closest weight and Barbara Self Lewis for the closest guess for time of birth.
