At the 2017 American Urologic Association Annual Meeting on May 13, Boston Scientific awarded Stuart Boyd, MD, professor of urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the F. Brantley Scott Award of Excellence. This is a lifetime achievement award for the practice of reconstructive urology.
F. Brantley Scott was one of the inventors of the Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP) and Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS), and the award in his name is given to those who display excellence in teaching, research and clinical outcomes.
In receiving the award, Boyd said, “I am truly honored to receive this award and to be able to restore quality of life for so many patients and their families over these last 35 years at USC.”
