On Match Day 2024, Keck School of Medicine of USC’s graduating medical students discovered where their careers would take them next. Friends and family members looked on as the students opened personalized envelops at exactly 9 a.m., PDT — in synchronicity with other students across the nation — and learned the location and specialty of their upcoming residencies.

Through the National Resident Matching Program, students have the chance to apply to one or more postgraduate programs, which they rank in order of their own preference. This year showed excellent results for the Keck School’s students, with 97.7% of them matching with a school of their choice.
