The American Physical Therapy Association has bestowed Stephanie Woelfel, PT, DPT, CWS, director of the USC Wound Management Physical Therapy Residency, with the Henry O. and Florence P. Kendall Practice Award for her outstanding and enduring contributions to the practice of physical therapy.

Woelfel is a longtime faculty member of the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy, who oversaw the development and accreditation of the USC Wound Management Physical Therapy Residency, the third such residency in the nation. Outside of USC, she has shown a tireless dedication to helping the field evolve on a national level, including the writing of numerous publications, playing an integral part at the Symposium for Advanced Wound Care, and mentoring younger physical therapists and researchers.
