On Oct. 24, 27 nurses from Keck Hospital of USC attended the annual American Nurses Credentialing Center National Magnet Conference in Denver. This is the first time Keck Medicine of USC has participated in the event since Keck Hospital achieved Magnet status, the highest honor an organization can receive for a nursing practice. The conference hosted a variety of events educating nurses on new technologies, research and best practices.
“The most thrilling moment was getting to walk across the stage and be introduced to the 10,000 attendees,” said Annette Sy, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer at Keck Medical Center of USC. “We’ve waited seven years for this and can take the information we learned at the conference and integrate it into our nursing strategy at Keck Hospital and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Now the whole world knows what we have always known about our nurses, that they are the best of the very best at USC.”
