While cochlear implants have changed the lives of many in the Deaf community, they still have their shortcomings — for example, they do not process music well. Raymond Goldsworthy, PhD, an associate professor of research with the USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, is a cochlear implant expert and user working to change that.
