In a yearly tradition, the University of Southern California has announced a small, select group of faculty to be named University Professors and Distinguished Professors. Of the seven selected, three are faculty members from the Keck School of Medicine of USC:

• Peter Kuhn, PhD, University Professor
• Ricky Bluthenthal, PhD, Distinguished Professor
• Sofia Gruskin, JD, MIA, Distinguished Professor

The title of University Professor is awarded based on multidisciplinary interests and significant accomplishments in several disciplines. USC awards the Distinguished Professor title to those whose accomplishments have brought special renown to USC.
