Jeffrey Wang, MD, professor of orthopaedic surgery (clinical scholar) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, has assumed the role of president of the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS).

Wang, who has been a member of CSRS for more than 15 years, was previously elected vice president in 2015, and then served as president-elect until the society’s annual meeting in December 2017, where he became president.

The CSRS is an international organization dedicated to carrying out research and education, as well as exchanging ideas and philosophies on the treatment of diseases and conditions of the cervical spine. Membership in this society is limited and there is a waiting list of those looking to become members. The membership includes neurosurgeons, neurologists, orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists and other medical treatment providers who are focused on the the cervical spine.
