Stephen Gruber, MD, PhD, director of the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, presented Christopher Haiman, PhD, with the AFLAC Chair in Cancer Research on Sept. 23. Haiman, who is also professor of preventive medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, focuses his research on understanding genetic susceptibility to breast and prostate cancers in minority populations.
