Veronica Atkins, of the Robert and Veronica Atkins Foundation, visited the Health Sciences Campus on Sept. 4 to receive updates on the research of Michael Goran, MD, PhD, MPH. Goran is a nationally known expert in childhood obesity and diabetes and the Dr. Robert C. and Veronica Atkins Endowed Chair in Childhood Obesity and Diabetes. Goran leads a multidisciplinary research team at the Atkins Lifestyle Intervention Laboratory at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
