The new designation will allow nationwide programs like USC Street Medicine to be reimbursed for services provided to patients who are unhoused. The policy change is the result of a formal proposal by the USC Street Medicine team, with collaborative support from the Street Medicine Institute and other partners, to create a place of service code for the street.
