Ceonne Houston-Raasikh, DNP, MSN, RN, has been named the new chief nursing officer (CNO) for Keck Hospital of USC. She is currently the associate chief nursing officer for the hospital — a position she has held for over a year — where she has developed a strong nursing leadership team.

The announcement was made by Annette Sy, DNP, RN, NE-BC, chief nursing executive for Keck Medical Center of USC, in a memo distributed on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

In her new role, Houston-Raasikh will be responsible for Keck Hospital’s operations, budget oversight, program planning and resource allocation of nursing services. She will also continue to collaborate with telemetry and critical care nursing leadership in order to further Keck Medicine’s mission of providing exceptional care.

Sy developed the hospital’s new CNO role in tandem with a separate CNO position for USC Norris Cancer Hospital.

“These roles highlight the importance of nurse leadership within Keck Medical Center and their close collaboration with the governing board and chief executive leadership,” Sy said. “By achieving this step, our hospitals are led by dedicated nursing leadership teams — each focused on service excellence and caregiver support meant to contribute to the organization’s overall objectives.”

Prior to joining Keck Medicine of USC, Houston-Raasikh served as CNO for PIH Health Hospital in Downey, CA. She has also held leadership positions with St. John’s Regional Medical Center (Oxford, CA), St. Francis Medical Center (Lynwood, CA) and Los Angeles General Medical Center (formerly known as Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center).
