USC Verdugo Hills Hospital welcomed a New Year’s baby and the first child born in 2022. Baby Atreus Romo was born to mother Alyssa Marie Cruz at 10:25 a.m. on Jan. 1, at 7 lbs., 1 oz., via C-section. In addition to celebrating her new child in the new year, Cruz also received a gift basket from the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.
