David Ko, MD, clinical associate professor of neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, chaired the 31st Annual Korean American Medical Association (KAMA) Scientific Convention meeting in Las Vegas. Held with the World Korean Medical Organization on July 4-6, the meeting included presentations by 11 USC faculty and two USC MD/PHD graduates. Ko, who served as scientific chair for the 2013 meeting, is president-elect of KAMA for 2014, with the meeting planned for Hawaii.
The Keck School maintains strong ties with Korea, with USC agreeing to exchange medical students with Seoul National University. The Keck School hosted a meeting in May that focused on current trends in medical education with an emphasis on radiology and biopharmaceutical drug and development between Korea and the United States.
