The Department of Preventive Medicine will become the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine of USC on July 1.

The name change signals a new era for the department, which has undergone tremendous growth and expansion in its areas of research since its founding in 1978 and renewed focus on its educational programs post-pandemic.
