Throughout the week of Mother’s Day, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center’s infusion teams distributed roses to patients visiting USC Norris Cancer Hospital, the Treatment Center and the Women’s Specialty Care Clinic at the nearby USC Norris Healthcare Center, plus treatment centers in Arcadia, Buena Park, Koreatown, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Pasadena and Santa Clarita.
This has become an annual tradition to celebrate mothers receiving chemotherapy or other types of infusion treatment from USC Norris, part of Keck Medicine of USC.
“This long-standing tradition is a way for us to honor all of our courageous mothers,” said Smitha Ravipudi, MPH, CEO for USC Care Medical Group and Ambulatory Services. “Sometimes we forget just how strong a mother needs to be. Seeing their determination and perseverance through the most challenging times is a true inspiration. This week, we wish all of our mothers a happy Mother’s Day.”
