Several faculty members from the USC Health Sciences Campus received 2022 USC Mentoring Awards on April 14 at a reception organized by the USC Center for Excellence in Teaching. These awards recognize faculty who exemplify the best in mentoring activities and programs, whether faculty-to-student or faculty-to-faculty, creating environments that further academic success. This year’s health sciences award recipients include:
Faculty mentoring faculty, postdoctoral scholars, medical residents, and fellows:
- David Black, PhD, MPH, associate professor of population and public health sciences, the Keck School of Medicine of USC
- Heather Wipfli, PhD, associate professor of clinical population and public health sciences and international relations, the Keck School
- Neil Segil, PhD, professor of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, the Keck School
Faculty mentoring graduate students:
- Ricky Bluthenthal, PhD, associate dean for social justice and professor of population and public health sciences, the Keck School
- Tien M.H. Ng, PharmD, interim chair and professor of the Titus Family Department of Clinical Pharmacy, USC School of Pharmacy
- Jo-Marie Reilly, MD, professor of clinical family medicine (educational scholar), the Keck School
