Glen L. Stimmel, PharmD, who served as interim dean of the USC School of Pharmacy since June 2015, was surprised by more than 100 faculty and staff members who gathered at a breakfast reception in his honor at the Edmondson Faculty Center on Sept. 26.
Stimmel, a USC faculty member since 1974 and professor of clinical pharmacy, psychiatry and the behavioral sciences in the School of Pharmacy and the Keck School of Medicine of USC, told dozens of colleagues his time as interim dean was an “incredibly positive experience” and he looks forward to the School’s continued upward trajectory, led by incoming Dean Vassilios Papadopoulos, DPharm, PhD, whose appointment at the USC School of Pharmacy begins Oct. 1.
