The American Cancer Society is continuing its support of USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center through the Institutional Research Grant, with the goal of fostering the careers of the next generation of researchers. The funding will support pilot work, training, mentoring and career development focusing on cancer disparities in the populations of Los Angeles and beyond.
USC Norris received this recognition due to its dedication to developing the next generation of cancer researchers by supporting its junior faculty. These young researchers often work with local communities to further the impact of their research and to develop mutual engagement between USC Norris and the surrounding populations.
