The American Physical Therapy Association has recognized Kornelia Kulig, PhD, MS, with a 2024 Career in Excellence in Biomechanics Research Award, which is annually bestowed on a biomechanics expert who has made an important scholarly contribution and impact on the physical therapy profession.

Kulig has a long career as an accomplished researcher specializing in orthopedic conditions with recurring pain and other symptoms, as well as the long-term toll they take on the body.
