Only weeks ago, Sharae Tejada, DPT, was in Uganda with a team of physicians and fellow physical therapists as part of a mission for Canada-Uganda Sports & Exercise Medicine, an organization dedicated to the advancement of sports medicine in Uganda. During the two-week trip, she and her colleagues split their time between teaching local students and providing clinical treatment to national athletes.
Tejada, an alumna of the USC Division of Physical Therapy and Biokinesiology and now a faculty member at the school, recently discussed the insights she developed from the experience.
