USC Verdugo Hills Hospital welcomed a New Year’s baby and the first child born in 2021. Baby Thomas Vartanian was born to mother Julyana Tekin and father Arbi Vartanian at 4:48 a.m. on Jan. 1. In addition to being able to bring home their newest member, the family also received a gift basket from the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.
