On a sunny afternoon in mid-April, health care workers at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital were honored by the city of Glendale’s fire and police departments with a drive-by salute acknowledging the workers for their tireless efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fire trucks and police vehicles lined up along Verdugo Boulevard, while the hospital staff watched, celebrated and expressed their thanks from the rooftop deck.
