Keck Medical Center of USC patients have a new bedside resource to help them on their journey toward healing and recovery.
As a result of the inaugural R3 Innovation Challenge, the Trojan Pouch has been implemented and was distributed across Keck Medical Center of USC starting Feb. 27, to all non-ICU units at Keck Medical Center of USC. The goal of this initiative is to decrease patient falls and to improve patient satisfaction, work efficiency and compliance with discharge education.
Tveen Kirkpatrick, RN, proposed the Trojan Pouch for the R3 Innovation Challenge. The Trojan Pouch helps keep patients’ belongings close and includes important education information.
