Four staff members of Keck Medical Center of USC recently participated in a conference for Latina girls.

Keck Medical Center hosted two workshops at the 19th annual Adelante Mujer Latina Teen Conference on May 11.  The conference is designed to educate and inspire Latina girls, while providing them with professional role models and plans for their future.

Presenting a career workshop on infection prevention were Emily Blodget, assistant professor of medicine, and Christina Artime, infection preventionist.

Leading a workshop on opportunities for Latinas in health care were Yolee Casagrande, director of the Evaluation and Treatment Clinic, and Idalia Munoz, administrative director of perioperative services.

Nearly 2,000 girls from ages 12 to 21 attended the event at Pasadena City College.
