Fred Weaver, MD, MMM, professor of surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and chief of the division of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy at Keck Medical Center of USC, just finished concurrent terms as president of two professional medical societies.

In February, Weaver ended his one-year term as president of the Pacific Coast Surgical Association, a 600-member non-profit organization established in 1925 to advance the science and practice of surgery.

Weaver also stepped down as president of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, which aims to improve the delivery of health care in vascular disease on March 22 after delivering his presidential address to the group at its 42nd annual symposium.
