A group of colleagues, friends and supporters of Sia Daneshmand, MD, associate professor of urology (clinical scholar) and director of clinical research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, gathered recently to honor the internationally recognized surgeon.

Daneshmand has spent the part 15 years serving thousands of patients’ lives while preserving their quality of life, in addition to training a new generation of urologists.

The Nov. 3 event included a presentation by Daneshmand on the need for continued advancement in the field of urologic cancer research. Funds raised at the event helped to support his research on advanced testicular, bladder and kidney cancer.
