“The secret to happiness is to be grateful for what you have and that begins with your health and that of your loved ones,” said Gary Vitti, former Los Angeles Lakers athletic trainer in his keynote speech to the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy’s graduating class of 2019. “If you have that, you have never been better in your life.”
Vitti served a 32-year tenure with the Lakers, during which they won 14 division titles, 12 conference titles and eight NBA Championships. He worked alongside such greats as Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson.
In total, the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy conferred 96 doctor of physical therapy degrees, 9 master’s degrees and 7 doctor of philosophy degrees.
