On Jan. 26, the Keck Medicine of USC Stroke Program, joined by a team of nurses, participated in the 2019 Skid Row Carnival of Love.
This annual event connects people to resources that provide continued support through their journey out of homelessness. These include clothing donations, medical services, career opportunities, legal advice, feet washing, hair cutting, DMV ID service and more.
The Keck Medicine team offered blood pressure screenings and stroke education to more than 200 people, teaching the community about stroke warning signs, risk factors and stroke prevention.
