Zul Surani has joined USC’s Civic Engagement team as director of community partnerships on the Health Sciences Campus. His role will be to direct outreach and partnership activities for the Health Sciences Campus and work with outreach stakeholders on campus to provide coordination and leadership in implementing the university’s priorities.
He brings over a decade of experience in community partnerships and community-based health research through his prior work at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. At the Norris, he was instrumental in launching and managing the Patient Education and Community Outreach Center and for a decade, he served as the Partnership Program Coordinator for a National Cancer Institute service contract to Norris, focused on reducing cancer disparities in underserved communities through capacity building and partnerships.
