Nearly 60 health professionals attended a continuing medical education event about multidisciplinary approaches to treating lung cancer, hosted by the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
The June symposium was a chance for doctors throughout the area to learn about the many services offered by USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital.
“It’s a great opportunity to share with the community physicians about our multidisciplinary lung cancer program and the advances we’ve been making,” said Kevin Kaldjian, the hospital’s director of performance management. “It’s putting us on the map for referring physicians to hear about our program,” Kaldjian said. “This is pretty big in terms of letting people know what we do well.” Another event is already being planned for next year.
